PT Elnusa Petrofin (EPN), a subsidiary of PT Elnusa Tbk (ELSA), once again received a mandate to support PT Pertamina Patra Niaga’s Ramadan Eid Task Force (RAFI) 2024. The RAFI Task Force started from March 25 to April 21, 2024. The RAFI Task Force itself plays an important role in maintaining energy security. It is predicted that around 56% of community movements will increase in that time span when compared to last year. In this Task Force, Elnusa Petrofin took part in supporting Pertamina Patra Niaga in distributing energy throughout the country in order to maintain energy security.
In carrying out the duties of the RAFI 2024 Task Force, several things have been prepared by PT Elnusa Petrofin to support PT Pertamina Patra Niaga in maintaining energy security, especially in that timeframe. In Operational Excellence, Elnusa Petrofin prepares human resources and vehicles that will operate in all operating areas. For the readiness of the Fuel Tank Car Crew (AMT) who will operate the car, Elnusa Petrofin has prepared 6,130 AMT. In addition, Elnusa Petrofin also prepared backup AMT mobilization from other locations to locations affected by the RAFI task force significantly.
Putiarsa Bagus Wibowo Manager Corporate Communication & Relations Elnusa Petrofin explained that “RAFI Task Force is one of Elnusa Petrofin’s main focuses every year, therefore we always prepare optimally. We always coordinate both internally and externally. Given that during the Mudik 2024 period, people’s activities are certain to increase significantly and we must ensure that energy supply is maintained,” said Putiarsa.
In terms of Fuel Tank Car (MT) fleet readiness, as many as 1,965 units have been prepared to distribute energy across the country. Elnusa Petrofin also ensures that all facilities and operational vehicle units have been calibrated, upgraded, and are in good condition. In addition to Regular Fue Tank Cars (MT), Elnusa Petrofin also provides Storage Gas Stations in several regions, as well as MT Spot Charter as many as 132 units spread across the RAFI Task Force location.
Putiarsa added that “All facilities owned by Elnusa Petrofin are also ensured to operate at their prime. Vehicle units that will carry out operational tasks have gone through a calibration and upgrading process, all of which are ensured to be in optimal condition. Supporting facilities such as vehicle workshops or workshops and hundreds of Rest Areas for Fuel Tank Car Crews are also ensured to function optimally.” added Putiarsa.
The Fuel Tank Car Crews (AMT) assigned to the RAFI 2024 Task Force have the relevant competencies and certifications needed to carry out their work. Training for AMTs has also been conducted throughout the year.
To ensure the distribution of BBM/BBK runs smoothly and safely during the Task Force, the Area Distribution Control Center (PKDA) Team is on standby 24 hours a day to monitor the delivery of BBM/BBK and the driving behavior of the Fuel Tank Car Crew (AMT) in real-time. The PKDA team is spread across 6 operating areas such as Medan (Sumbagut Region), Palembang (Sumbagsel Region), Surabaya (Jabalinus Region), Balikpapan (Kalimantan Region), Makassar (Sulawesi Region), and Jayapura (Maluku Papua Region).
As a safety measure, the Fuel Tank Cars are fitted with CCTV with artificial intelligence (AI) technology and GPS Two Ways Communication that can detect fatigue face and unsafe conditions when AMTs are on duty. The PKDA team can immediately intervene when there is a violation in driving behavior by AMT, by making direct contact through GPS Two Ways Communication.
Meanwhile, the Director of Operations and Marketing of PT Elnusa Petrofin, namely Mr. Ferdiansyah, said “As part of the RAFI Task Force, all things have been prepared optimally in order to realize our commitment in supporting Pertamina Patra Niaga to ensure the smooth supply and distribution of fuel and LPG to the community during the Ramadhan – Eid al-Fitr 2024 period.” said Ferdiansyah.
In addition to keeping fuel distribution smooth, Elnusa Petrofin also ensures the stability and availability of LPG in the Amurang LPG Depot operating unit area in the South Minahasa, Manado, Gorontalo distribution areas and the PT Elnusa Petrofin SPBE and SPPBE Operations Unit areas such as in Bima West Nusa Tenggara, Semper North Jakarta, and Gunungsitoli Nias North Sumatra.
Ferdiansyah added that in addition to the readiness that has been described, Elnusa Petrofin ensures that all parties involved carry out their duties with the applicable HSSE rules. Because HSSE is a top priority, so that all operations can run well. And personnel who carry out tasks can maintain health. Therefore, health and safety checks are carried out for all personnel on duty. Both Daily Fit To Work, Medical Check Up, and giving Vitamins so that those on duty stay fit.
“We coordinate internally both within the scope of Elnusa Petrofin and within the Pertamina Group. In addition, we also involve external parties including the Officials to support the smooth operation of Energy distribution,” added Ferdiansyah.
With the readiness of the fleet and superior human resources, Elnusa Petrofin is ready to carry out its duties optimally in order to support Pertamina Patra Niaga to maintain energy security, especially during the Ramadhan – Idul Fitri 2024 period.
