Improving Quality Education for School Students, Elnusa Petrofin Holds Petrofin Goes to School at SDN Lancang, Labuan Bajo 

Friday, September 15, 2023 – PT Elnusa Petrofin, as a subsidiary of PT Elnusa Tbk (ELSA), held a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Petrofin Peduli program with the theme “Petrofin Goes to School” at SD Negeri Lancang, Wae Kelambu Village, Komodo District, West Manggarai Regency on Friday (15/09) afternoon. The location was chosen because it is within the Ring 1 area of the ongoing Fuel Terminal Labuan Bajo business unit development project. 

This activity is part of the company’s commitment to support and fulfill the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) targets, especially point 4, namely Quality Education, as well as paying attention to ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) principles. 

Also present at the event were the Principal of SD Negeri Lancang Antonius Supriyadi, Head of Waekelambu Village Markus Randu, President Director of Elnusa Petrofin Doni Indrawan, Director of Finance and Administration of Elnusa Petrofin Yogi Firdaus, Director of Operations and Marketing Nur Kholis, and management of PT Elnusa Tbk as well as various other related parties who supported this CSR activity. 

The activity began with enthusiasm when the children of SD Negeri Lancang welcomed the arrival of EPN’s Perwira with a mesmerizing local dance. The “Petrofin Goes to School” event was officially opened by a warm welcome from the Principal of SD Negeri Lancang, Antonius Supriyadi. 

In the series of activities, EPN’s Perwira & Pertiwi conducted mass painting of classrooms and walls at all points of the school room. In addition, students were also invited to participate in educational games designed to evoke the spirit of togetherness and educational values. This activity not only focuses on improving infrastructure, but also pays attention to the social and character development aspects of students. 

After the group of EPN’s Perwira who had painted the school, the activity continued with the completion carried out by the partners in a week from September 15-22. It is planned that in the next 6 months, activities will return to the school through the improvement of learning books for students and the addition of school facilities to support learning activities. 

The event ended with a special moment when EPN’s Perwira joined the students in a local dance as a sign of a festive farewell. This “Petrofin Goes to School” CSR program reflects PT Elnusa Petrofin’s commitment in supporting quality education and embodying the principles of sustainability in its business activities. 

With strong collaboration between the company and existing community groups and institutions, it is expected to create positive changes in the educational environment in the areas involved.
