Strengthening Industry and Government Synergy, Centre for Human Resource Development (PPSDM) of the Ministry of Land Transportation Visits Elnusa Petrofin to Evaluate and Initiate HR Development Cooperation

As a tangible manifestation of the synergy between the industrial world and Government institutions in building superior transportation Human Resources (HR), PT Elnusa Petrofin received a visit from the Land Transportation HR Development Centre (PPSDM) of the Ministry of Transportation on Wednesday (07/05). This visit is part of the institutional evaluation agenda and exploring opportunities for training collaboration in the Dangerous Goods Transport (ABB) sector, especially in the fuel tank car transportation mode.

Located at the Elnusa Petrofin Head Office, this activity was also attended by Syafek Jamhari, M.Pd. as Head of the PPSDM Training Division, Wahyu Hapsoro, M.M.Tr. as Head of the Mempawah Land Transportation Education and Training Development Centre (BPPTD), as well as a team of assessors from PPSDM. The group was warmly welcomed by the management of Elnusa Petrofin, one of which was represented by the Senior Manager of Human Capital.

During the visit, both parties discussed Elnusa Petrofin’s readiness as a partner in organising Dangerous Goods Transport (ABB) training for tank car drivers. PPSDM also made direct observations of operational support facilities owned by Elnusa Petrofin, especially those related to safety aspects and human resource quality. Facilities such as Road Traffic Control (RTC), Fit-to-Work process, Tank Car Assessment, and recruitment system are part of the evaluation.

On the same occasion, Wahyu Hapsoro appreciated the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in Elnusa Petrofin’s RTC system. The use of AI technology that is able to detect dangerous driver behaviour such as drowsiness and yawning is an innovative step that is very important in maintaining driving safety.

Not only focusing on training, PPSDM is also exploring other potential collaborations such as internship programmes for students from schools under the Ministry of Transportation and joint CSR initiatives. This opportunity is considered strategic to strengthen the link and match between the world of education and the increasingly complex needs of the transport logistics industry.

This activity is a positive step in building sustainable collaboration between Elnusa Petrofin and Government institutions, to support the creation of a professional, resilient and adaptive transportation HR ecosystem in the energy sector to maintain National Energy security.
