PT Elnusa Petrofin (EPN), a subsidiary of PT Elnusa Tbk (ELSA), for the first time held the Pena Petrofin Awards 2025 Awarding Ceremony in Jakarta on Wednesday (09/10). This inaugural event marks a historic milestone for Elnusa Petrofin in strengthening synergy with the press while recognizing journalistic works that play a vital role in voicing energy distribution, workplace safety, sustainability (ESG), and the inspiring stories of energy frontliners in the field.
Carrying the theme “The Journey of Energy Distribution for a Sustainable Nation”, the event successfully attracted hundreds of journalists from across the country. Submitted works highlighted the journey of energy from upstream to downstream, showcasing perspectives ranging from technology and operations to the human values behind them. A rigorous judging process narrowed down hundreds of submissions into dozens of outstanding works, then to 10 finalists, before finally selecting three winners in each category.
Director of Administration and Finance of PT Elnusa Petrofin, Yogi Firdaus, expressed his appreciation to participating journalists. “The first-ever Pena Petrofin Awards is our way of recognizing journalists who have supported Elnusa Petrofin, as part of Pertamina Group, in safeguarding national energy resilience. The awards are a tribute to the press for their active role in voicing key issues around energy, downstream oil & gas logistics, workplace safety, ESG, and the strategic role of Elnusa Petrofin in running responsible and sustainable business operations. The presence of your journalistic works has greatly contributed to maintaining Elnusa Petrofin’s positive image and reputation in the public eye.”

The judging process was conducted strictly by a panel of competent judges, including Setri Yasra, Editor-in-Chief of Tempo; Ismoko Widjaya, Head of Organization & Membership of the Indonesian Cyber Media Association (AMSI); and Putiarsa Bagus Wibowo, Corporate Communication & Relations Manager of Elnusa Petrofin. Evaluation was based on originality, depth of analysis, contribution to the public, and relevance to energy distribution and sustainability issues.
“The Pena Petrofin Awards prove that collaboration between business and media can create a healthy space for appreciation. From the hundreds of entries, we saw extraordinary quality — from field reports to in-depth analyses. The energy written by journalists is not just about fuel, but also about people, struggles, and sustainability,” said Ismoko Widjaya in his remarks.
