In the spirit of strengthening harmonious and sustainable relationships with journalists, PT Elnusa Petrofin (EPN), as a subsidiary of PT Elnusa Tbk (ELSA), organised a Media Gathering and Journalistic Code of Ethics Workshop with journalists in the Jambi region. The event took place in a warm atmosphere of intimacy and collaboration on Wednesday (16/04).
This activity presented two main speakers, namely Prima Satria, Editor-in-Chief of Jambi Ekspres, and Suwandi, Chairperson of the Alliance of Independent Journalists of Indonesia (AJII) Jambi City as well as a senior journalist, who delivered a workshop session on the journalistic code of ethics. The journalists present were invited to discuss and deepen their understanding of ethics, responsibilities, and challenges in carrying out their profession in today’s digital era.

Also attending this activity, Putiarsa Bagus Wibowo as Manager of Corporate Communication & Relations of PT Elnusa Petrofin said that this activity is a form of company appreciation for the important role of the media in conveying accurate, balanced information and building a positive image of the business world.
‘Through this activity, we want to establish a closer relationship with our media colleagues, especially those in the Jambi region, as well as open a space for constructive dialogue in order to create a harmonious relationship that supports each other,’ said Putiarsa, Manager of Corporate Communication & Relations of PT Elnusa Petrofin.

In addition to the workshop session, the event was also filled with a presentation on Elnusa Petrofin’s company profile and scope of services. This exposure aims to provide a deeper understanding to media colleagues about the role and contribution of Elnusa Petrofin in supporting national energy distribution, especially in the Jambi region.

In the workshop session, the Editor-in-Chief of Jambi Ekspres conveyed the importance of maintaining a code of ethics for a journalist. ‘By complying with the code of ethics, we can maintain our profession as journalists,’ he said. This was also reinforced by a message from Suwandi, as the Chairperson of AJII Jambi City as well as a senior journalist by saying, ‘Do not let us normalise ethical violations in our environment.’

Elnusa Petrofin hopes that this activity will be the first step of closer and more synergistic cooperation with local media as a strategic partner in supporting the dissemination of transparent and quality information.
