In the context of emergency response to the landslide disaster that occurred in Tana Toraja Regency on April 14, 2024, Elnusa Petrofin together with Pertamina Patra Niaga Sulawesi through its CSR Program distributed humanitarian assistance to victims affected by the landslide disaster that occurred in Lembang Randan Batu Village, Makale Selatan District, Toraja on Tuesday (16/4).
The aid was received directly by the Head of the Tana Toraja Regency Social Service, Drg. Adriana Saleng who was accompanied by the Head of BPBD Tana Toraja at the public kitchen of the Ministry of Social Affairs. The logistics packages distributed were in the form of 5 tubes of Bright Gas 12 KG LPG, 20 boxes of instant noodles, 15 shelves of eggs, 20 boxes of 600ml mineral water, 30 bags of rice, and other basic necessities.
Based on data from the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Tana Toraja Regency, landslides were triggered by high-intensity rain in areas with unstable soil conditions in Manggau Village, Makale Subdistrict and Lembang Randan Batu Village, Makale Selatan Subdistrict which hit dozens of residents’ houses and resulted in casualties.
In addition to handing over aid to the Ministry of Social Affairs soup kitchen, Elnusa Petrofin together with Pertamina Patra Niaga also visited Sinar Kasih Toraja Hospital where the victims were treated for compensation.
Elnusa Petrofin continuously supports Pertamina Patra Niaga to ensure that the availability of energy stocks, both fuel and LPG, is fulfilled, especially around the safe location of the incident, such as at the OVOO (One Village One Outlet) Base in the Makale Selatan District.
